Currently the Seaside team is conducting some noisy steel seawall construction in Fenton mi. This particular homeowner was having major shoreline erosion with his natural shoreline. The property is located on the main body of the lake where heavy ice pressure mounded / pushed in his shoreline, talk about some major erosion issues. We proposed a steel seawall to this homeowner to withstand the evident heavy ice pressure. Seawall construction began in the the morning and by the end of the day we had all of the 8-guage black steel pilings set, ready for angle and threaded rod tie backs along the 110′ section of new wall. Driving the pilings went very well, we didnt run into much of anything except the sandy lake bed. If you are thinking about seawall construction on your lakefront property, steel seawalls are the way to go. You can pick between standard black steel or galvanized steel.
