Today we’re going to discuss a project we completed last year for a customer on Hamburg Lake, which is located less than 3 miles from Whitmore Lake in Michigan. This was a decent sized project, which included us building not only a retaining wall behind the customer’s existing steel seawall, but also a custom stone step stair system and a brand new cantilever dock! Seaside Seawalls was contacted this summer to build a brand new galvanized steel seawall as well as a permanent dock for a resident situated on Buck Lake in the city of Whitmore Lake, Michigan. Located around the shores of Whitmore Lake, this city is part of the greater Livingston County, and has a total area of 5.4 square miles – 4.4 square miles of which is land, and 1.0 square miles of which is water. This project took a total of five days to complete, and is a particularly unique one for Seaside Seawalls due to the galvanized steel seawall’s winding curves. Seaside Seawalls has recently completed a beautiful new galvanized steel seawall, a gray composite platform deck, and a permanent L-shaped dock for a residential property situated on Hiland Lake in Pinckney, Michigan. This project took a little over two weeks to complete, but we would love to update you with the details and even some pictures of this particular project! Pinckney, which many of you Michigan-natives will know, is located in Livingston County – one of Michigan’s “cabinet counties” that is home to approximately 180,967 residents. With a total area of 585.43 square miles (with 17.03 square miles of that being water), Livingston County is also home to several lakes and rivers – Hiland Lake being just one of them.
